On Wednesday, April 3, the book “Ecology and Observation. Broadening the focus of science to understand a complex world. 2018” was launched and presented at the Fernando Drake Auditorium of the Faculty of Forestry Sciences, UdeC.
The event was attended by Oscar Lermanda, who represented the publishing house of the University of Concepción, and then the welcome and presentation of the book Ecology and Observation by Dr. Aníbal Pauchard, academic of the FCF, took place. Consuelo Quevedo and the teachers, Dr. Darío Moreira, also participated with the theme; “Expanding our senses using technology” and Dr. Cristóbal Pizarro with the topic; “Observation and integration of the human dimension in ecology”.
It is worth noting that Professor Pauchard emphasized specific milestones of his publication, based on the knowledge that implies a global effect in his new book, stating that: “This book is a Spanish edition, it is a book published a few years ago in the United States, in which I am a co-author. This Spanish edition of our native language brings some knowledge and also how the use of science can be expanded in ecology, which is changing. The important thing is basically to know how to face the complex situations of today, regarding climate change and at the same time to use the disciplines of ecology powerfully.”
